This kind of shit reminds me of a quote from Toni Morrison:
“The function, the very serious function of racism is distraction. It keeps you from doing your work. It keeps you explaining, over and over again, your reason for being. Even if they’re guilty of the very thing they’re accusing others of, it doesn’t matter. They just want to keep talking about any and every thing that isn’t policy, that isn’t character, that isn’t platform…because they don’t have one.
The goal, especially now that it’s Harris and not Biden, is distraction from the real work of uplifting her and Walz and their policies. That’s all this is.
