    1. Melani’s story is absolutely inspiring! running with a guide and teaching with such dedication despite being 90% blind showcases incredible strength and resilience!

    2. I couldn’t find anything online, but does she per chance have albinism?

My little cousin has albinism and other than the blond hair and very fair skin, he has bad eyesight due to the reduced pigmentation of the retina and is extremely sensitive to light.

    3. She looks bad ass!

How anyone has the fortitude to not just do life but excel in this circumstance is remarkable.

That’s really cool. That’d be wild to be in races, though. Does the guide stay behind her right at the finish so they don’t win? Imagine being the guide and knowing you have to keep up with your runner. Super cool but definitely lots of room for unusual situations.

That’s awesome. I’m 100% blind too and it’s amazing that I can see that she’s running.

    6. Isn’t that how most blind Paralympians run? Like, not to be damped the mood, but as a disabled person, it just seems kind of weird to say a reasonable accommodation is inspiring, rather than offering it to more people.

I’ve never seen mottling around the knees of someone healthy…damn her muscles are working.
