Just thinking about losing someone so special can be really hard. Cherish every moment!

As someone who lost their dad just over 3 months ago I can tell you that… you’ll be okay, eventually.

Conversation I had with my 4 year old literally last night when I was putting him to bed.

      Son: Daddy…

      Me: Yes, R?

So : …Are you strong enough to beat up monsters?

Me:… Yep, they are no problem, especially at home.

Son: <smiles and curls up> Good. Good night, Daddy.

    4. This meme makes me so angry. I hate my father. I hate talking to him, I hate his advice, I hate how he treats others, me included. I don’t relate to this meme in any way.

    5. It happens, so love them with everything you got while they are still here. You don’t know how much time you have left so make sure you appreciate all of it.

shit’s scary to think about, but it’s just the natural state of life. we all meet our end one day, and if you believe in something after then keep on believing. whatever helps get you through each day. I know i need something to help me keep going.

    7. Well atleast you’re lucky enough to have your dad be a positive part of your life. Many people, myself included, don’t have that luxury.

    8. I am almost 39, my dad is 72. I am terrified of when he passes. I am working to prepare myself for it as his health issues mean he likely won’t live terribly long. He is my rock and I know it is going to hurt like hell. But that is why I am preparing.

    9. Or you watch them fade from strong curious protective fathers to basically children in diapers. I face this every day now with my 91 year old father, and it’s tearing me up. Thank God for my wife and her patience-for me and him
