It’s actually kind of interesting how the down nod is seen as a sign of respect. we nod up to people we know well and down to people we don’t because blah blah blah evolution stuff animals tend to go for the throat, so we only expose our necks to people we are familiar with, and nodding down protects it. I feel like that implys you do not respect them, as opposed to the up not showing trust
