    1. This isn’t wholesome.

We live in an unchecked police state in many ways. Civil forfeiture is overwhelmingly abused. Drug laws are wildly improper. Police being trolls is a symptom of the incorrect mentality police departments seek to stock their staff with.

    2. Likely another abuse of power. “Non-conviction-based forfeiture (NCBF) is a legal process that allows courts to seize assets that are linked to criminal activity, even if the criminal has not been convicted.” But sure. I guess taking someone’s property who has not been found guilty of anything – just suspected and in some cases even acquitted – “Wholesome” and “funny” to you.

In AZ a guys GF borrows his jeep and picked up an 1/8 off weed got arrested and the police took his jeep. I believe he got back only it took over a year and lawyer. The law let AZ charge him $15K to get his vehicle back. WTF

I know everyone is all talking about civil asset forfeiture but I choose to believe the sign at face value and some drug dealer just wanted to give back to the community.

What do you mean wholesome??? This is fucking funny as shit LMAO but it isn’t really wholesome.

They did not donate that car, they most likely got their car repo’d in a drug bust and whoever was in charge of the bust likely slapped this on for some humor at the station.

If drug dealers are working with the cops, it’s not gonna be a wholesome time. Did you never watch, like, any police/crime show from 2003-2016?

Translation: we busted a guy with a few joints and used our gang to steal his car.

    7. There’s a reason that cops don’t want to decriminalize despite it being a waste of resources
