Sure, but this is a violation of trust. She could’ve agreed to this.

this is how i quit vaping, except i just bought the lower doses of nicotine. for the first week or so i was hitting it more to compensate, but ultimately there’s only so much sucking i could do and only so much nicotine i could get into my body on my work breaks and outside of work. after like a week i noticed i was vaping less. i switched to 0% nicotine after about a month, and realised that like a week into that switch i was barely vaping.
i basically realised that half the urge was just occupying my hands / mouth, the other half was violent addiction. once the nicotine was gone, i started occupying my hands and mouth with nail biting and gum chewing again.
weird thing was that my withdrawal effects were significantly easier to cope with, and wayyy less bad.
first time i cold turkeyed i had nausea, constipation, awful insomnia, suicidal ideation, full body shakes, and really sudden mood swings
quitting by reducing and switching to 0% was just me randomly feeling a tiny bit irritable, and not even clocking that it was withdrawal until after

Helping a loved one make a positive change is always commendable. This is such a supportive gesture!

I use a reward system where I buy them meth if they stop vaping

What if he accidentally forgot to dilute the bottle one time, and the girlfriend, who was supposed to be at 2%, ended up getting blasted with 100%?

Now she’s going to leave him because she thinks she doesn’t need him and she can quit by herself… Women 🙄

I swear this was why vapes were brought to market in the first place. The idea was you could quit smoking by reducing the nicotine in a controlled manner while maintaining the same movements and actions. While this is obviously a lovely story why couldn’t she have done this herself by buying lower nicotine vapes?

Won’t work for everyone. Some people have physical (chemical) addiction, some have psychological (ritual, process), some have both. I have both. When I feel that I’m not getting enough nicotine throat hit (feeling of strong nicotine) + don’t satisfy nicotine crave + don’t satisfy the process crave- I get very pissed off and cranky which is very unusual and unnatural for me. I will feel that less strong liquid is not hitting as hard and is not satisfying nicotine crave, but will deal with ritual part. So 1 out of 3. It’s very hard for some people. I have a good insurance and even scheduled a narcologist who helps with much scarier addictions- medications made me sick and dizzy, and I went back to vaping. It’s so hard. Quitting cold turkey just makes me so pissed I don’t want to out my family through that.
