Good, fast food greedflation is absurd. They are raising the price on everything while posting record breaking profits. Fast food restaurants have outlived their usefulness.

Dear mcdonalds. We didnt eat with you because you were good and fancy, we ate with you because you were relatively inexpensive. You are no longer inexpensive. Its not us, its you.

They became leaders of the pack on greedflation. The first time it was 70+$ cad for a family of four was the last time. Fuck them

In my country a cheeseburger has increased 320% in price the last 10 years.

Glad to see these price gouging assholes getting what they deserve. They tried to say it was inflation but its all about price gouging. Their food, not just McDonalds is bad for you so hopefully people will stay the hell away from these places and live better lives.

    6. It’s always been shit food, the burgers/meals have been getting smaller, and it’s no longer a cheap alternative to cooking.

    7. We’re not turning our backs on fast food just look at us we’re turning our backs on high prices. You give us less and tell us it’s more

Treated myself to a QPC and fries, haven’t been in several months. When I saw my receipt I knew that was my last from McD.

Other articles have quotes from management that indicate loss in sales as attributed to the boycotts related to Gaza. Nothing about them price gouging themselves out of the market with no quality change to their shit products.

    10. UK here.

McDonalds have done this to themselves and I am here for it.

During the pandemic they put all their effort into Just Eat and Deliveroo etc and when things got back to normal, they just didn’t bother to accommodate in store visits again.

Every one of our local stores has now gutted the interior and they are all set up with delivery drivers as the main priority.

Most seating has been replaced with queue barriers and there is literally no staff on a till unless you ask. If you do decide to sit in, you will literally share your space with deli drivers and their massive delivery boxes.

You can use the drive through but you will get parked up because no matter what you order, you are not the priority due to delivery partners.

Now, I get that this may sound a bit conspiratorial, however I have been told on 3 separate occasions at different branches that they are told that delivery partners are the top priority and focus has to be on achieving targets for them.

I actually believe this as a while back I had gone down around 10pm at night when they’re a 24 hour place, as I couldn’t order ahead on the app. Drive through had a cone blocking it and when I went to the door, a staff member told me that it is online delivery orders only.

McDonalds have forgotten that we went there for cheap convenience. Now, they charge £11 for some meals and shrinkflation aside, it’s really poor quality.

      F McDonald’s.

Their food absolutely sucks ass now. It’s bad for you. And it’s expensive. No thanks, I’ll have a sandwich.

    12. Correct headline. Americans found other fast food restaurants not named McDonalds. (We aren’t that enlightened)

I eat at big chain fast food places maybe once per year, usually out of desperation in an airport. And every time, I cannot believe that people pay for and eat this garbage on a regular basis. McDonalds, Burger King, Jimmy John’s, Chick Fila, Subway, etc etc… they’re all overpriced garbage. It makes no sense to me that people actively choose this.

I’m fortunate to live in a city (Vegas) with a huge number of good fast casual joints, in addition to all the good mid and high end restaurants. The difference in quality between the legit places and the chain garbage is stunning… and the prices are the same. Yet McDonalds still has a line at the drive through. I just don’t get it.

I recently purchased a sausage McMuffin(add bacon) with 1 hash brown at McDonald’s. Total came to $11.52.

Went to Jack in the box and got a Sausage breakfast jack (add bacon) with 1 hash brown. Came to $7.68.

McDonald’s operates like it thinks there aren’t better options out there and it’s finally starting to show. They have the weakest menu with the worst prices. Always have.

      Edit: these are CA prices.

If I’m gonna pay $35 dollars for two burger and fries it’s for sure going to be from a better place than McDonalds.

I love McDonald’s but in the past few years I’ve gone there maybe 5 times. It costs way too much for the slop it truly is.

    16. Family owned place by me has double smash burgers for 5 bucks. thst’s where I go now

    17. I can go to Chilis and spend less money for more food that’s slightly better quality.

    18. McDonald’s was good when it was quick, cheap, easy and was of a decent quality. As with every corporation, price gouging and cutting corners has made all of the good qualities go away. It’s no longer cheap nor of a decent quality anymore. Had lunch at a mom and pop restaurant today that was much better than McDonald’s at a much lower price. In summary, 🖕McDonald’s and their greedy price gouging.
