The history of Sardinia in school books

    1. To be fair, it’s one island.

      Every place that’s been populated for more than a thousand years could fill whole volumes with a detailed history. And no school has the time to cover all that in detail in the scant time it has (a few hours a week, for 40 or less weeks a year, over 8 years). The fascinating histories of Sardinia or Ruthenia or Carchemish or Varanasi or Samarkand or Hunan or Hokkaido or Honolulu or Cahokia simply won’t make it into the average grade school curriculum that’s doing its best to fit in a birds-eye overview of topics as broad as “Greece”, “Rome”, “Medieval Europe”, and “Colonial America”.
