If this is true (with no sources from OP) why wasn’t she blackballed during the Red Scare?

    2. That is not cool. It is sad, and I’m glad she later clarified thar she had only registered as a Communist at her grandfather’s behest and never actually self-identified as such, or as someone who would vote pro-Communist

Nobody said actresses were the most intelligent among us.. just saying..

Wonder if there is more to it?

    4. The Red Scare was the original cancel culture. Lucy and Desi managed to talk their way out of it, but countless other talented artists had their careers held back or ruined entirely simply because the government disagreed with their political views.

When she fought with studio execs and they backed down, she used to say, ‘That’s when added an s to my last name.
She was incredibly smart funny and talented.

I loved hearing Carol Burnett reminisce about her on Conan’s podcast.

    6. America had the most militant labor force in history. Even in the deep south organized labor was present. The Democrat coup of Henry Wallace for Truman is responsible for the world we have today
