What came after was horrific racial abuse on social media, death threats, and vile comments such as “England is white people’s country”, “get out of our country,” “go back to Africa”, etc etc
Three years on, England found itself in a penalty shootout again yesterday against Switzerland in a same competition. This time, all black players stepped up and scored their penalty sending England to European championship semifinals.

I was hoping they’d lose, but I was also hoping that the Black players didn’t miss during the penalties since Saka, Rashford and Sancho got so much hate when they missed last time.
That being said, I hope they get worked by Netherlands.

Even today, Lewis Hamilton winning in England will have some detractors that would prefer Lando Norris or George Russel to win as Lewis isn’t their IDEAL Brit. They may not be as vocal today but they’re still out there
Sadly they’re everywhere. Vinicius Jr. got thrown out of a La Liga game in Spain for the fans chanting & making monkey gestures etc. at him. Then the damn president of the league blames him for basically existing and thus inciting that reaction
