That’s the look of a man who sold his soul.

I wonder if it was worth it…

    2. If I was American I would be somewhat worried about a top lawyer who makes this number of mistakes. What else did he get wrong?

    3. What an accident-prone guy! I’m glad he doesn’t have a senior role that has serious implications for an entire nation.

He’s acknowledging it because he knows there are no consequences for it

    5. Also ponder this – 3 supreme court justices were appointed by a convicted felon.

According to section 72 of the [Australian Constitution](https://www.legislation.gov.au/C2004Q00685/latest/text), the appointments of Justices of the High Court of Australia expire when they turn 70. No ifs, no bus, no paperwork required – the appointment just expires when they hit 70. (The High Court is equivalent to the US Supreme Court as the court of ultimate appeal and with sole jurisdiction for Constitutional matters.)

And the Constitution doesn’t stop there: the presiding judges of any court established by the Federal Parliament are subject to the same provision (e.g the Federal Court).

Get that into your Constitution, it’ll sort out a lot of issues about “untouchability” and so on.

Sounds like he has poor judgement. As long as he’s in a job where judgement isn’t the requirement, I think he’ll be fine.

At this point it is fairly safe to assume he lied rather than did anything inadvertently. So should a lying judge be on the Supreme court bench?

And this guy is not only a long-time **lawyer**… not only a **judge**… but a ***SUPREME COURT JUSTICE***… and he doesn’t know this basic stuff. 🤔 And his CPA firm doesn’t, either… yeah, I’m not buying it.

You know, for a smart legal guy he seems to have real difficulty with… *Checks Notes* reading.
