I mean Thomas Jefferson raped his slaves, Andrew Jackson committed genocide on Native Americans, Martin Van Buren helped with that, Grover Cleveland used federal troops to kill striking railworkers, FDR put Japanese people in internment camps, Truman dropped 2 atomic bombs, Eisenhower authorized a coup in Iran, Nixon illegally bombed Laos and Cambodia…
Those are just off the top of my head, I’m sure I missed plenty. US history is full of monsters and criminals. Trump being awful doesn’t erase the crimes of the past.
