Countries plotted represent the mean daily maximum at each country’s capital. Data was scraped (using beautifulsoup) from the Wikipedia climate tables of 166 capital cities. I stored the scraped data in a geopandas dataframe and plotted with matplotlib.

The arbitrary color change from 12 to 1 makes a huge contrast, although the difference might be a few days only. Bad palette choice.
