    1. Well to be fair, in 68 it was Bobby’s election to lose until he got killed.

      Both of those preceded the modern ideologically coherent sorting of the parties, the conditions haven’t been the same for decades.

    3. I mean sure if you just ignore the circumstances and societal conditions they’re exactly the same scenario!

    4. These don’t exactly seem like good comparisons. Stevenson was running against the guy who was seen as having won WWII, and Humphrey almost won despite everything.

    5. As much as I love history, the past is not a gospel. The present is currently screaming in our faces and shoving red flags in our faces regarding Joe Biden. I trust that advice. Third time’s a charm.

    6. The 1980 election would be more accurate with Ted Kennedy gaining traction at the DNC Convention.
