Washington abused his executive power as soon as he became president. And he used his privilege to keep slaves in Philadelphia. Which was illegal because Pennsylvania was a free state. But as they say when your president they let you do it.

I mean, I haven’t celebrated Independence Day since 2016, because I’ve been nothing but disappointed and upset since then. This year is probably the worst yet, I couldn’t care less about the 4th of July.

It’s this moment where I do and do not wish Carter still had his whits about him.
The most senior of senior statesman wouldn’t even shudder to issue a *withering* and devastating editorial on the entirety of this court’s session, and have the gravitas to sway opinions, but also, I just want that guy to have the most pleasant possible end to his time.
