This was the coveted recording section at a Grateful Dead concert. In the early days it was just anyone who had a microphone. Then it became a culture all on its’ own. Not just anyone was allowed to sit in these sections, because they were trying to get pristine recordings. Some guys were able to get patched into the direct outputs. I wish that still existed.
